Across the country, rainbow crosswalks — symbols of LGBTQ+ pride and visibility — have been disappearing. But this National Coming Out Day (Saturday, October 11, 2025), join Queer NEPA, Pennsylvanians Together, and local partners as we turn the streets into a canvas of joy, color, and community.
We will not be erased — we will shine brighter.
Here’s how it works:
– If your community already has a rainbow crosswalk, that’s a great place for a rally, press event, or celebration.
– If not, we’ll make one — by chalking a rainbow crosswalk together and filling it with life, laughter, and love.
This is a family-friendly, joy-filled action of unity. Bring chalk, bring music, bring food, bring friends — and most of all, bring your pride. Don’t forget to share photos and videos with #WeWillNotBeErased and #ChalkTheRainbow so we can celebrate together across the country.
Together, we’ll dance, laugh, and step into pride — proving that our colors can never be erased.
