Our featured guest will be Senator Art Haywood (SD 4 / Phila, Montgomery) the Democratic chair of the Health and Human Services committee, a member of the Appropriations and Finance committees, and a tireless fighter for people across the state! Sen. Haywood will join PA Policy Center’s executive director Marc Stier and policy analyst Castin Stone for a conversation highlighting the ways that greedy corporations and freeloading billionaires undermine our democracy and steal the common wealth of the Commonwealth — AND how the General Assembly and Gov. Shapiro can ensure that our state’s 18 billionaires pay their fair share! Our meeting will include time for a Q&A, when attendees are invited to submit questions for our presenters. We'll provide an overview of "the basics" about each policy, the status of potential legislation impacting the issue and the people of PA, and opportunities for organizations and activists to take action to win these policy goals.
