• “Raise the Wage” Liveable Wage Press Conference and Rally

Office of Sen. Devlin Robinson 1700 N. Highland Road, Pittsburgh, PA, United States

Join us for a press conference/rally to demand a raise of the minimum wage in Pennsylvania with 1Hood*, Pennsylvanians Together, PA, OneFairWage, SEIU PA, PA United, Pennsylvania Policy Center, AFSCME, and Keystone Progress on Thursday, August 29, at 11a.m. Pennsylvania has not raised its minimum wage since 2009. Since 2014, however, 30 states and Washington, DC, have increased their minimum wage, including every state that borders Pennsylvania. While for 15 years the minimum wage in Pennsylvania has remained stagnant, the cost of basic necessities like healthcare, childcare, housing, utilities, and food have all risen. For over a year, Senator Devlin Robinson, chair of the Senate Labor and Industry Committee, has failed to advance minimum wage legislation HB1500, which passed out of the PA House in 2023. With only a few days left in this legislative session, it is time to get HB1500 passed out of the PA Senate and to the Governor's desk. Labor partners, community advocates, and local leaders will be united in demanding that Senator Robinson advance this important legislation so we can finally raise the wage. *1Hood Power is a social advocacy 501 (c)4 organization committed to building and demonstrating power in western PA’s Black communities. • Fair Share America Rally in Washington, DC — Say NO to Tax Breaks for Billionaires and Corporations!

REGISTER HERE. More details to come, please check back! Federal Triangle location, Washington, DC Join tax justice advocates and constituents from across the country in Washington, D.C., April 10th, for the Federal Fightback Rally to tell our members of Congress to oppose taking away what millions of working people need—health care, education, food assistance, child care, and so much more—in order to pay for more tax breaks for billionaires and big corporations. Momentum is growing all over the country as Trump, Musk, and congressional leadership try to ram through tax breaks for the rich—now it’s time we take this fight to the steps of the Capitol. Your voice is critical to ensure that Members of Congress know that we are watching, and we won’t stand for it! Making taxes fair isn’t just a tax fight—this fight represents a key choice in the direction of our country. Are we a nation that prioritizes lining the pockets of billionaires and big corporations, or are we a nation that ensures everyday working Americans get ahead?

  • Tax Day Rally Across PA — Philly location

Philadelphia City Hall 1400 John F. Kennedy Blvd., Philadelphia, PA, United States

NOON – 2 p.m. PHILADELPHIA CITY HALL (For other locations, go HERE.) On April 15, join national and local organizations to demand billionaires pay their fair share and fight back against the rigged system and Republican attacks on our freedoms and communities. Philadelphians have always and consistently rejected trickle-down economics. We reject the idea that cutting taxes for the rich and wealthy businesses help working people at any level of government. Instead, we support fair taxes that ask the rich and businesses to pay their fair share of the taxes needed to support the essential services that make our lives better and are the real source of prosperity for all. This Tax Day, Trump and Congressional Republicans are pushing massive tax breaks for billionaires and corporations, rigging the system against workers and families. Their budget cuts Medicaid, food assistance, and education, while the wealthiest pay little to nothing. Pennsylvanians already contribute their fair share to fund schools, roads, and hospitals, but Trump’s tax policies make it even more unfair, forcing working people to pay more while the rich get off easy.
