SUMMARY:Post-PA Budget Address Response
DESCRIPTION:The stakes are high for Pennsylvanians as Gov. Shapiro and the General Assembly begin to negotiate a state budget for 2026–27!\n\nRSVP NOW and join us online at 3 p.m. on Tuesday\, February 3\,  to find out how it could impact you\, your loved ones\, your neighborhood\, and every community in the state — and the opportunities to stand together and take action!\n\nIn less than 2 weeks\, at noon on Tuesday\, 2/3\, the governor delivers his 2026 Budget Address to a joint session of the state Senate & House\, outlining his plan for funding education\, transportation\, childcare\, and other crucial services that Pennsylvanians deserve.\n\nShortly after Gov. Shapiro’s address concludes\, PA Policy Center will host an online discussion with leaders in advocacy efforts\, offering their reactions & responses to Gov. Shapiro’s proposed budget for 2026–27. The forum is tentatively scheduled for 3PM\, but might be adjusted depending on the timing of the Address\, so if you sign up NOW\, we’ll send a reminder email to confirm the exact start time as the event approaches.\n\nOur post-Budget Address meeting on Zoom will “bookend” an online discussion PPC hosted last week\, which featured several allies sharing their state budget priorities for the state budget – transit\, child care/early ed\, public schools\, and tax fairness – and we’ll be revisiting these priorities at our forum on February 3. You can view the recording of the initial conversation on our YouTube page.\n\nRegister TODAY & join us on Tuesday afternoon\, 2/3\, for reactions & responses to the Budget address!
