  • State Policy Action Call: Tax Fairness in PA: The Working Pennsylvanians Tax Credit and the Movement to Tax the Ultra-Rich

Join us Thursday afternoon, March 19th, for an online forum focused on the growing statewide movement to fund critical investments in Pennsylvania's "common wealth" by making billionaires and ultra-rich corporations pay their fair share! Our STATE Policy Action meeting for March will begin at 1PM on Zoom and will feature legislative leaders, policy experts, and advocates discussing tax fairness in PA, highlighting the NEW Working Pennsylvanians Tax Credit and the Fair Share plan that's been introduced in both chambers of the General Assembly. Our panel includes Rep. Izzy Smith-Wade-El (HD49 - Lancaster); Erin Serre, Policy Director for Sen. Art Haywood (SD4 - Phila, Montco); Ryan Matthews, PA State Director, For Our Future; and Jessica Brittain, Organizing Director, Action Together NEPA.     PA State Capitol Complex – Rotunda 11–11:30 Press Conference  As the General Assembly heads deeper into budget season and the middle of tax season, we invite you to join us for a press conference and advocacy day highlighting the need for tax justice and a responsible state budget that works for all Pennsylvanians! This event will bring together legislators and partners from across Pennsylvania who believe that a responsible budget requires fair taxes and that the investments Pennsylvanians rely on — from education to health care to transit — depend on getting our revenue system right. The press conference will be held in the main rotunda at 11am. We’re fighting for revenue solutions that fund our communities and ensure Pennsylvania meets its budget challenges with fair taxes, not more cuts.
