• UPDATED START TIME — THIS BUDGET IS BULLS**T: Rally outside Rob Bresnahan’s Scranton Office

Rep. Rob Bresnahan's office 116 North Washington Ave., Scranton, Pennsylvania

UPDATED START TIME: 2 P.M. Senator Chris Coons is joining us! REGISTER HERE! Join For Our Future PA, Action Together NEPA, the Pennsylvania Policy Center, Pennsylvanians Together, storytellers from the community, and Senator Chris Coons at 2 p.m. on July 1st to hear why Congressman Rob Bresnahan’s vote for the TRUMP–GOP big, bloated, and ugly bill cannot be tolerated! We'll be OUTSIDE Rep. Bresnahan's office located at 116 North Washington Avenue, Scranton, Pennsylvania 18503, where we'll let him know that his vote for the BBB is shameful and unacceptable! In the coming days, the Republican-controlled Senate will be considering the House-passed GOP mega-bill from hell. The GOP’s reconciliation bill from the darkest corners of its ambitions passed the House of Representatives in DC in May, and now the bill is before the Senate for consideration. This bill would negatively impact Medicaid, SNAP, and other programs and services in the state that millions of Pennsylvanians rely on! Part of the GOP’s scheme with SNAP, Medicaid, and other programs is for a cost-sharing requirement with the states. Pennsylvania would find it difficult—if not impossible—to pick up that fiscal slack, which would undermine these programs—just as the GOP cruelly intends. Not only that, […]

  • “Families First, Not Billionaires!” Town Hall – Harrisburg

The Abbey Bar at Appalachian Brewing Company 50 N Cameron St 2nd floor, Harrisburg, PA

REGISTER HERE. The rich got richer. We got the bill. While working families in Pennsylvania’s 10th district struggle with rising costs, housing insecurity, and cuts to Medicaid and SNAP, the ultra-rich and big corporations are cashing in—thanks to a tax code that’s been hijacked by billionaires and their allies in Congress. This is what oligarchy looks like. Scott Perry backed the “Big Ugly” law, cutting what our communities rely on—while protecting tax breaks for the wealthiest Americans. This isn’t an accident. It’s a massive transfer of wealth—from us to them. Fair Share America, Pennsylvanians Together, Pennsylvanians Policy Center, 50501, OnePA, Northern Dauphin Democracy Coalition, Workforce PA, Planned Parenthood PA, PA10th District Network, Commonwealth Communications, For Our Future, MomsRising, and our local partners are hosting this town hall because the system is rigged—and it’s time we start fighting back. Join us to share your story, speak your truth, and demand a government that works for us, not just the ultra-wealthy.   REGISTER HERE.

  • “Broken Vows” Town Hall: Families vs. the Big Ugly Bill

The Green Ridge Club 1645 Wyoming Ave., Scranton, PA

REGISTER HERE. Congressman Bresnahan is getting married before the year is out—but he’s already broken his promises to the people of this district. By voting for the Big Ugly Bill, he turned his back on working families—slashing Medicaid and SNAP, undermining affordable housing, attacking immigrant communities, and putting the stability of our local hospitals at risk—all while giving away tax breaks to billionaires and corporations. From Scranton to every corner of the district, families are feeling the impact. That’s why we’re gathering at the Greenridge Club—a venue known for hosting weddings, now hosting a very different kind of event. Fair Share America, Pennsylvanians Together, Pennsylvanians Policy Center, Planned Parenthood PA, Action Together NEPA, Commonwealth Communications, For Our Future, MomsRising, and our local partners are hosting this town hall because the system is rigged—and it’s time we start fighting back.Join us for a district-wide town hall where residents, advocates, and community leaders will: Expose the harm caused by the Big Ugly Bill Hold Congressman Bresnahan accountable Demand an economy—and a democracy—that puts families first   REGISTER HERE.
