• SRA Monthly Meeting: Candidate Engagement with PAT

VIRTUAL EVENT To register and get more info use the event link below. Join PENNSYLVANIANS TOGETHER AND THE STATE REVENUE ALLIANCE on August 15th at 3:00 ET/12:00 PT for an SRA monthly meeting where we will hear from Pennsylvanians Together about their candidate engagement model. Marc Stier, executive director of Pennsylvania Policy Center, and Dwayne Heisler, campaign director of Pennsylvania Policy Center, will join us to share the ins and outs of Pennsylvanians Together’s c3 and c4 candidate engagement models, including the process through which PA candidates are encouraged to endorse the campaign’s agenda in a c3 context. With elements of the program focused on candidate education, relationship-building and long-term power-building on tax, Pennsylvanians Together’s lessons can be a powerful resource for 2024–2026 electoral planning. • Dauphin County Notice & Cure Mobilization Training

Dauphin County Mobilization Training | Implement a notice and cure program! VIRTUAL TRAINING: August 13 at 6:30 pm At an upcoming meeting, the Dauphin County board of elections may consider an important pro-voter policy for November’s election: a notice and cure program. In the 2024 primary, in Dauphin County, 296 mail ballots were not counted and in the 2023 General Election, similarly 109 ballots were not counted. These voters were disenfranchised because they were not notified nor were they allowed to fix their mistakes on their mail-in ballot's return envelope. Dauphin residents and voters deserve better. And we need your help to make sure a notice and cure policy is both considered AND enacted in Dauphin. Adopting a robust notice and cure program would make Dauphin County’s elections more safe, secure, and accurate by giving eligible, active voters the opportunity to correct any minor mistakes on their mail ballot packet and ensure that their vote is counted. We hope voters will attend the upcoming BOE meeting to advocate in favor of Dauphin County implementing a notice and cure program. To get ready, please attend the VIRTUAL TRAINING on August 13 at 6:30 pm. This training will get you ready to […]

  • “Raise the Wage” Liveable Wage Press Conference and Rally

Office of Sen. Devlin Robinson 1700 N. Highland Road, Pittsburgh, PA, United States

Join us for a press conference/rally to demand a raise of the minimum wage in Pennsylvania with 1Hood*, Pennsylvanians Together, PA, OneFairWage, SEIU PA, PA United, Pennsylvania Policy Center, AFSCME, and Keystone Progress on Thursday, August 29, at 11a.m. Pennsylvania has not raised its minimum wage since 2009. Since 2014, however, 30 states and Washington, DC, have increased their minimum wage, including every state that borders Pennsylvania. While for 15 years the minimum wage in Pennsylvania has remained stagnant, the cost of basic necessities like healthcare, childcare, housing, utilities, and food have all risen. For over a year, Senator Devlin Robinson, chair of the Senate Labor and Industry Committee, has failed to advance minimum wage legislation HB1500, which passed out of the PA House in 2023. With only a few days left in this legislative session, it is time to get HB1500 passed out of the PA Senate and to the Governor's desk. Labor partners, community advocates, and local leaders will be united in demanding that Senator Robinson advance this important legislation so we can finally raise the wage. *1Hood Power is a social advocacy 501 (c)4 organization committed to building and demonstrating power in western PA’s Black communities.
