Pennsylvanians Together Community Conversation – Bensalem, PA

Adventureland Day Camp & Picnics 6401 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem

REGISTER HERE! The Big Ugly Bill has passed the house and now is the time to make your voice heard. The bill calls for devastating cuts to Medicaid, SNAP, and the safety net, all to pay for tax breaks for the ultra-wealthy. Pennsylvania voters, like voters in other states, strongly support these programs, and with good reason. Medicaid provides critical support for millions of Pennsylvanians. The reconciliation bill will terminate healthcare coverage for around 13 million Americans and kick approximately 3 million Americans off of SNAP. While new requirements for the state to help pay for the SNAP program would result in new expenditures for the state of $226 million to over a billion. The bill does all this harm while adding $2.4 trillion to the federal deficit. This event is open to everyone. Join Pennsylvanians Together and the Pennsylvania Policy Center, for a real conversation about proposals that could harm Pennsylvanians, and what we can do about them. We will have experts to discuss what these cuts mean for us and our communities as well as explain what you can do to fight the cuts.

People’s Town Hall — Tell Rep. Ryan Mackenzie to Save Medicaid!

Cathedral Church of the Nativity 321 Wyandotte St, Bethlehem

REGISTER HERE. Trump, Musk, and Republicans in Congress like Ryan Mackenzie are attempting to pass a budget that will slash hundreds of billions from essential programs- including up to $880 billion in cuts to Medicaid — all to fund tax cuts for the ultra-rich. While they passed a budget blueprint in the House, the budget process requires agreement between the House and Senate, and lots of details still have to be worked out in committee, so the fight is far from over! Rep. Mackenzie won’t show up to hear from his constituents about how these reckless Medicaid cuts will impact our lives—so we’re hosting our own town hall. Join your neighbors to hear from people directly affected, share your own story about what’s at stake, and learn how we can fight back together. Our healthcare is on the line, and our voices matter. We are proud to be partnering with groups across PA including SEIU, AFGE, CASA, ASFCME, PARA, Make the Road, Planned Parenthood, PA Dems, Protect our Care, PSEA and more.
